CATHERINE MAY P. SINGSON'S HOLIDAY IN SINGAPORE

Catherine May P. Singson on Singapore
23, dreams of traveling the world

1. What brought you there? Holiday/vacation.

2. Must-try meal Chicken rice (tagged as the National dish of Singapore, both famous and affordable).

3. You should not miss visiting or going to Orchard Road (lots of stores to be found for high-end and low-end shopping).

4. What I saw Very peaceful and safe with a very clean and green environment.Transportation is also very convenient and efficient which is very good for tourists as one need not spend much on cab/taxi. There is a card (EZ link) that can be bought that allows one to access all modes of public transportation.

5. Most awesome thing I saw Sentosa Island, a very famous spot because of it's man-made island.

6. Thrilling budget find Bugis Street, good for shopping for cheap souvenirs, stuff and knick-knacks.

7. Notable tips from locals If you love to go on food trips, hawker center is the place to go - it is cheaper with plenty of food choices.

8. What I expected Modern with many high-rise buildings.

9. Must-avoid traveler's trap don't go to Lucky Plaza (Orchard area) and Mustafa during weekends because it can get really very crowded.
