Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
Especially for theatre and musical aficionados out there. If you're traveling in London and would like to immerse with the culture by catching a show in the West End, but wouldn't want to part with your hard-earned British pounds... I honestly don't think you could watch anything.
Unless you just stay on the streets and enjoy the performance of the buskers!
However, if you're willing to pay half of the price of the tickets and would like to get the best seats, here's a cool open secret. On the morning of the show that you'd like to watch, go to Leicester Square or check out the stores along Piccadilly Circus to buy your tickets. Chances are, you could get seats near the stage - close enough that you could almost see the pores of the skin of the actors!

1. It's easier to get tickets for 1 or 2 people. Bigger groups who prefer to seat together may need to book tickets in advance.
2. There's less likelihood of obtaining tickets of newly opened or blockbuster musicals/plays. If you're in London on a short trip, you may need to buy tickets 2 or 3 months earlier.
3. Most of the shows are closed on Sundays. Yes, even actors need rest too!
