10 BEST FREE TRAVEL APPS

With the influx and the onset of iPhones, iPads,and android phones , travelling has never been easier with free, downloadable and searchable apps.

Below are some of the 10 best (in no ranking order) usable free apps that I have been using when I travel. These friendly, easy-to-use apps will surely result into worry-free travel.

Agoda Travel App

Agoda - Agoda is the app to use when you are looking for cheap to expensive hotels depending on the countries you wish to visit. Now "smarter hotel booking just got even smarter" as their app would say.  It has a whole lot of searchable hotels at the palm of your hand. The app allows you to download and keep a copy of your voucher (just make sure you are connected to the internet though).  

But before booking that hotel, it would be useful to check this other app, too. 

Tripadvisor Travel App

Tripadvisor - with honest to goodness hotel reviews from travelers, this app also makes it easy to find hotels, restaurants where to eat the best foods and the adventures you can do, wherever you go. 

Google Translate Travel App

Google translate - very simple app to use. Basically, you just have to type in whatever word you want translated. The app has more than 60 languages that  can be translated. On top of that, there is an audio translation that will allow you to pronounce the word or sentence properly.Watch out though as some translations don't seem to be right but nevertheless this will help you get by. 

Lonely Planet Travel App

Lonely Planet - the reliable country/city review travel book is now available at your finger tips. The app also has an accompanying map.  

You need to download the full version of this app for a fee though, if you want the complete guide and advice for planning your trip and more information about other amazing things to do in each country or city you want to visit.

XE Currency Travel App

XE Currency - is the ultimate companion for world travelers. This free app calculates live currency and foreign exchange rates. So no need to worry about how much you are actually paying!

Singapore Air - this one is very helpful for me personally because  most of our business travel plans uses Singapore Airlines. The app features allow you to make and retrieve bookings, check in (even if there are multiple passengers), save your mobile boarding pass, check your flight schedule or amend your bookings. At the same time, it also allows you to access your KrisFlyer statements and extend expiring miles. 

PicCollage App

Pic Collage - this app is for quick posting and collaging of your great pictures. You can also instantly link to your Facebook, Instagram or any social networking sites with this app. This makes taking pictures and sharing fun!

Viber App

Viber - the ultimate easy to use app for free SMS/text messages and calling services. As long as you are connected to the Internet, getting in touch with your family and loved ones will never be a problem.
