I have a personal list of things that I never leave home without. These are all handy helpers for the many "little" unexpected pleasant and unpleasant surprises that come my way. I always bring these in all my trips whether, going to the office, vacationing in a beach or taking a flight to somewhere in the world.
These are the must-haves in my bag or travel kit.

These are not exclusive essentials for Moms with kids and toddlers :). I started using wipes when liquids got banned in the planes such that bringing alcogel or alcohol became a nuisance.
Wipes are helpful when there is no running water in sight. The grease or ketchup on your fingers after enjoying fries in the car are easily wiped off clean.

2. Lip Balm
A must-have not only during summers but especially in the cooler days of the Christmas seasons.
This is also a daily must-have in the office when lips dry out because of the air conditioning.

3. Medicines
We don't know when we are going to experience a sudden headache, dizziness or other common ailments during travelling. It pays to be ready with the reliable pain relievers, medicines to alleviate dizziness and some diatabs for stomach discomfort.

4. Paper Soap
A handy alternative to liquid soap. Easy to carry, store and use. I brought some of these during an out of the country trip and was able to use it a lot since most of the public bathrooms that we went to did not have soaps. One of my companions was pleasantly surprised when I offered her these. These were just starting to get popular at the time.

5. Candies, Biscuits, Chewing Gum
These are good to have around for sudden pangs of hunger especially when caught in Manila traffic! Chewing gums are great when boarding a plane. They help ease the irritation or pain one experiences from the ears during takeoffs or landings.
